The 23rd annual Alamo Bowl will be the highest ranked Alamo Bowl to date and features two former Big XII North teams in the 10th ranked Colorado Buffaloes and the 12th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. Tickets for this game are almost gone and both teams are very well matched up, both use a spread offense and both have defenses that can cause turnovers.
“We’re excited about Colorado going to their first bowl game in 10 years,” Buffaloes’ coach Mike MacIntyre said. “It’s a chance for us to get the monkey off our back for the bowl games and it’s a lot of fun. Our kids will be excited about it. It’s going to be a heck of a football game with a great atmosphere.”
“I like our attitude,” Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said. “Both teams played in their conference championship game, and I’m sure they wanted to win just as much as we did. You go through a week or so after you lose to get the guys back up and going. Our first couple of practices were pretty average, but since that point the leadership and the chemistry of the team has taken over and we’ve been tremendous.”
While an Alamo Bowl ticket may be a bit hard to find tonight, Alamo Tickets will have a booth at the Best Western Conference room (1103 E Commerce St, San Antonio, TX 78205) with a great selection of seats. Give us a call first if possible at 210-344-6262.
